Laser Tag Talk on the Radio
The last couple of days have been a lot of fun because I’ve had the chance to talk about laser tag on several morning radio shows. With International Laser Tag Day less than a week away it’s been great to be able to share a bit about what will be going on and also raise some public awareness about what a fantastic activity laser tag can be for families and people of all ages from kids up to adults to get some exercise and have some fun! Here are three interviews…enjoy listeni

Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch…
For some time now I’ve been aware that there is a Lasertron arena at a camp called Circle C Ranch in Delevan, NY. I was particularly interested in this because one of my goals is to eventually play at every laser tag site in New York, but I didn’t really anticipate being able to play here because this is a private facility, not a public laser tag arena like I typically visit. However, opportunity presented itself when Ed from Skateland was kind enough to make a phone call to

Playing Laser Storm at Skateland
After hearing that there was a place to play Laser Storm in western New York I knew I wanted to visit and this weekend turned out to be the perfect opportunity to stop over to Skateland Family Fun Center in Franklinville, NY. When I arrived I pulled in to the parking lot of a pretty large complex that is home to a roller skating rink, go karts, batting cages and teen dance club among other activities. It’s a family owned business and Ed greeted me at the door to show me aroun

Two Weeks To Go!
Only two weeks to go until International Laser Tag Day and the celebration in Texas! I’m really pleased that this has already gotten some good press, sparked some interest from a few old-school Photon players and even gotten a few of my non-tag friends planning to visit for the occasion. I want to thank RePlay Magazine and Matt Harding for the Instant RePlay article about my laser tag journey, which you can read here… https://www.replaymag.com/laser-tag-lover-goes-for-50th-st

Awesome Time at Laser One
My last stop of the night was to Laser One in Wantage, NJ. This turned out to be one of the most enjoyable of the day because I really got to play a proper game of laser tag using a system I don’t get a chance to very often. I drove around to the side of the plaza (had some momentary confusion because the site can’t be seen from where I had entered) and I was greeted at the front counter by Brielle who was also the game master. She had me fill out a waiver and was kind enough

OMG!
I thought I was somewhat familiar with iPlay America because I’ve seen their name pop up a few times in the context of laser tag leagues and every time I would see that I’d think I’d certainly want to participate if I lived nearby. So of course I decided to visit when I passed through Freehold, NJ. All I can say is…OMG! This place was astounding! I was expecting the typical FEC environment and was absolutely amazed by what I actually encountered. A tip should have been the fa

Race Against Time
When I got back and track and found my way over to Colonial Bowling and Entertainment in Lawrenceville, NJ I felt like I was in a bit of a race against time because I wanted to detour over to a favorite shop over in Red Bank before they closed, but geographically it made better sense for me to play here first. I pulled in right behind two big buses full of students from Princeton. Although this boded well for a good experience inside, I felt myself starting to worry as I watc

An Unexpected Funplex
It isn’t that I didn’t expect to visit a Funplex while in New Jersey, because I did. When I mapped out my route I figured I would start at the southernmost point on my list and work my way north, so I anticipated visiting Funplex in East Hanover later in the evening, but that’s not what ended up happening. Instead I was headed towards a bowling alley in Lawrenceville when I made a wrong turn and ended up going south instead of north on the highway. When I got to a point where

Road Trip to New Jersey – Launch Delran
I would have liked to have made this trip during the grand opening weekend, but my schedule took me to Canada last week instead, so I rescheduled my road trip to New Jersey specifically to check out the new Launch Delran location. As of my visit on Saturday this was one of only four laser tag sites in the United States to have Helios 2 installed. Fun fact…this site was actually one of the first three Helios 2 sites being installed virtually simultaneously at the beginning of
