A Laser Joust with a Dragon?

Camelot Golfland in Anaheim, CA has some pretty cool medieval theming going on inside this giant castle!

I was ready for a laser joust with a dragon…or anything else I might find in this arena.

However, for a moment I was worried I might not get to experience it. Usually when there is nobody else playing laser tag I can convince a manager to free up a staff member (who bear in mind would have to be an resent for the game anyway) for a quick 1v1, but in this case they would not budge, so I recruited a group and talked them into joining me for a game of Lazer Runner. It turns out this was already of interest to them, so we headed up the stairs to the arena on the second floor of the “castle” and got ready to play.

Keeping with the Laser Joust theme, the arena had plenty of medieval flair…and also plenty of dragons!

These really are very cool accents for this arena. They standout nicely inside the space as toppers for the structures we were tagging around.

But they weren’t the only creatures we encountered. I imagine a big castle might have a spider or two hiding in a corner and, sure enough…

So plenty of interesting things going on here. The guys I played with made this a lot of fun and I’m glad it worked out that I was able to play this arena after all. It finished my visit with a trip to the concession stand for a corn dog and was on my way, having enjoyed my visit to Camelot Golfland.
