It’s Fall Y’all!
Fall is here and that means it’s time for apple picking, pumpkin patches and (where I live) scarecrow contests! So let me introduce you to Laser Tag Larry, my entry in a scarecrow contest being held at a local art center where he will be on display for the next few weeks. :) Larry was constructed from a pillow case and some plastic bags with a few accessories found at thrift stores (like the pink boots and that 80s themed shirt that suits him perfectly). Crafting the Entire Experience
Building their own laser tag equipment is only part of what makes one Texas arena so unique, as we hear about in this week’s Laser Unfocused Tag Talk, discussing it with Paul and Malorie Korney of TX Laser Combat in Plano, TX. Carrying A Laser
I just downloaded the new Clay Aiken cover of the Mr. Mister song Kyrie and I’m remembering how back in the day my high school boyfriend was completely insistent that the lyrics were not “Kyrie eleison”, but rather “carrying a laser”. One of us could never be convinced he could possibly be wrong. Ironically, the other now spends all her time actually “carrying a laser” and I can no longer hear that song without swapping out his misheard lyric in my head!
