Armageddon Girls on Day 2

Day two of Armageddon began with a trek (no, not a Laser Trek) to Tron (yes, to a Lasertron) in Rochester. That’s where all the women of Armageddon gathered wearing our ‘Geddon Girls t-shirts to celebrate that we represent the largest number of women ever to play at this tournament. Talk about girl power!

We spent a lot of time on these shirts as well as the terminology. Are we girls, women, chicks…I think even dames might have been floated at one point! But you know Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and so do we!

Yep, I even found a pink rubber chicken in route to join the group!

Don’t squeeze it Mama Bear! Everyone hears the squawk and thinks I’m the one messing around during briefing, lol!

This is how we started our morning at Lasertron.

But as we are all on different teams (my team having the most female representation with Mama Bear Shadowdragon and me), we rejoined our team and prepared to compete. Fortunately for me, my team also had a lot of Tron representation, so I got to sit the system and cheer for my team from the sidelines (a choice that I want to point out is always my own decision). I prefer to watch them go do what they do best!

Of course, I do still participate and am happy to ref when called.

But I got to relax a bit an enjoy my time at Tron, especially smiling when Grumpy showed me his AI interpretation of me, complete with a gecko and (what else) a rubber chicken!

My team took a majority of their games in this system, losing only twice to the top two teams at that point, so we felt good about our showing at Tron.

The Armageddon Girls all repped hard for our respective teams and when it was all over, most everyone enjoyed some down time.

Well, except me. I took Ski Patrol along and right after Tron was done it was time for Tivigeddon! ;)
