I just downloaded the new Clay Aiken cover of the Mr. Mister song Kyrie and I’m remembering how back in the day my high school boyfriend was completely insistent that the lyrics were not “Kyrie eleison”, but rather “carrying a laser”.
One of us could never be convinced he could possibly be wrong. Ironically, the other now spends all her time actually “carrying a laser” and I can no longer hear that song without swapping out his misheard lyric in my head!
