Closing Time (Laser Tag Day Conclusion)

Tivia runs on Dunkin’…or Starbucks…or pretty much any kind of coffee! So I grabbed a Frappuccino with an extra shot of espresso before making the four hour drive across Georgia, arriving just in time to play one final game before closing time at Frames and Games in Pooler, GA. A perfect way to conclude this Laser Tag Day with an awesome group and some CyberBlast!

I had played here previously, but went out of my way to return so that I could end this day dedicated to all laser tag by having played four of the most prominent systems in the U.S. And to commemorate the occasion I brought a buddy…my new southern fried rubber chicken!

Now we are ready to rock! We suited up with our CyberBlast packs and there were exactly enough for all of us to get in the game. We entered the two-story arena and spread out.

I always seek out the base first.

And from there I ventured to the upper level, which had a real “bunker” kind of feel as we tagged around the outpost. I had forgotten how much fun this arena was. It’s been a few years since I was last out at this site.

At the end of the game we checked the scoreboard. I was at the top, playing as Cyborg. However, I was using the “spare pack” with a dark screen, so I didn’t actually know it until the end! :)

We played right up until nearly 1:00 am, at which point it was closing time. What a perfect way to end Laser Tag Day!

At this point I drove to the nearby 24 hour IHOP and sat down for pancakes and (you guessed it) coffee. I enjoyed my late dinner/early breakfast before heading to the nearby airport for my flight back to New York. Yes, it was a long day, but I was incredibly pleased with how all my weekend adventures had gone. After spending seven of the last eight weekends making tag travel trips to line this all up, I was feeling really great about this being the conclusion as I celebrated the game I love and wrapped up International Laser Tag Day 2026.
