FUNdraising with Laser Tag

I arrived at The Fun Warehouse bright and early in the morning for the second Saturday in a row, ready to be a participant in a laser tag FUNdraising event for a local youth organization. I was immediately greeted by an enthusiastic woman who was part of the Syracuse Rebels Youth Football and Cheer group who thanked me for being there as she directed me to the counter. At 9:00 am there were already lots of families on site, ready to play laser tag with a nice percentage of the sales benefitting their group. This is the kind of event I love to support!
I chatted with the president, Crystal, and vice president, Amber, about the event while congratulating them on having well over 60 participants showing up to support and play.

They told me this is one of the best fundraisers they do because it’s so easy to set up. Amber noted that it is very family oriented and great because parents and siblings come and participate in the laser tag games too. Everyone was clearly having a blast!

Coach Kevin told me a bit about the Syracuse Rebels program, which is structured into groups by grade level. The cheer group goes along with the football players to support one another at games throughout the local CNY and Finger Lakes region.

Teaching healthy competition, teamwork and camaraderie are all things that translate over to laser tag as well, so it was great to see so much support here for the youth and their activities.
This morning’s event comes on the heels of a similar fundraiser that was held a week ago in support of the North Syracuse Little League. That was also a lot of fun and a great way to show support for kids who are growing in a different sport.

Now, as we are starting the 6th year of Tag 4 A Cause, it’s no secret I am always supportive of laser tag being used as a catalyst to fundraising for great causes. I am excited about the upcoming fundraiser we will be hosting here at The Fun Warehouse this July in support of the Alzheimer’s Association, Central New York Chapter.

So, whatever the organization is that matters to you, I strongly encourage you to consider working with your local laser tag center to coordinate FUNdraising activities incorporating laser tag because fun and fundraising go hand in hand…just keep two of those hands on the phaser!
