Ghosts of Armageddon’s Past

One of the things I was excited to bring to this year’s Armageddon tournament was a bit of laser tag history. I set up a display of packs from systems played in Armageddon’s of past years that were not being played this year and it was amazing to see people responding so enthusiastically to the nostalgia!

These packs from the Laser Tag Museum Collection represent a wide spectrum of systems, many that are no longer being made or played, but that clearly brought back memories.

I know Ricky, the founder of Armageddon, was particularly stoked to see the memories!

With thanks to the ‘geddon history keepers I had a record of the systems that have been used and which years they were played (or dropped).

We displayed examples of Photon…

Darklight…

Laser Quest…

Delta Strike…

Laser Trek…

And Laser X/Intersphere and Laser Chaser, which were both scheduled systems in past years, but also both dropped in their respective years.

We also gave some display space to the currently played systems that would be in use during the 2026 Armageddon.

In keeping with the preservation of history, I brought some previous year’s Laser Tag Day posters, free for anyone who wanted them, so that the community could continue to celebrate their favorite systems.
