Happy 250th anniversary America!

Today I am reflecting on the country that I love so much that I continue to laser tag my way across it again…and again…and now again! I am more than halfway through my third time around, laser tagging in all 50 states. I have seen all parts of this country from coast to coast and am grateful for the adventures and opportunities I have had along the journey.

This weekend I am spending at home, so last night we celebrated in patriotic style at my home arena, wearing red, white and blue colored packs.

Not only did we have these colors ready to commemorate the weekend, but I also brought in something just for fun…a Statue of Liberty rubber chicken!

I don’t quite know how I ended up with a rubber chicken collection, but I do know that my week began by hiding tiny rubber chickens all throughout the office.

Clearly I was adulting hard that day!

Last night I wasn’t doing that much adulting either, but I was having more new experiences. We got to play a game format I had not experienced before called Gem Quest. The short description of this game is you shoot bases only (five times) for 1000 points and there are no player tags. This I like because it’s the kind of game you could do completely solo if you wanted (like if you were doing a 25 mile challenge and needed to just run a few long games, just for example). It was one of a handful of games we enjoyed throughout the night. It just goes to show, there are always new experiences to be had when you explore the full menu of game formats.

I had fun tagging with friends, but also bringing along some fun to celebrate the occasion. Happy 250th America!
