Is It Hot In Here?

The rest of my Laser Tag Day found me crisscrossing over the Florida-Georgia Line to District 850 in Tallahassee, FL, where the weather was hot, but the arena was hotter!

As a New Yorker, I had no complaints about the Florida weather! :) This site was using Zone Helios 2 gear, which was perfect because one of my goals for today was to celebrate using a variety of different laser tag systems before it was over.

This was a very well thought out two-story arena design. The New York City theme was evident from the skyline to the subway, which was engulfed in flames.

Is it hot in here?

What could have been a prop with only exterior decoration became a focal point from all angles because of the attention to detail on the inner subway walls. They were painted with flames that glowed VERY realistically under the black lights and set a vibrant scene when you look down on the subway from above.

I love to find an Easter egg hidden inside the arena. This symbol wasn’t exactly hidden, but did give a definite nod to the intention for the NYC theming.

This was a really fun experience and the other players (having noticed my shirt and banner) also seemed to enjoy knowing they were getting an awesome experience on Laser Tag Day.

My thanks to District 850…this arena is FIRE! :)
