Making A List, But Forgetting To Check It Twice

I used to keep a list of all the arenas I had visited simply to have a running tally of my growing arena count. However, lately my list has become a necessary double-check as I can no longer trust my “old lady” memory to remember what arenas I have already played! That became evident when I walked into Malibu Jack’s in North Richland Hills, TX thinking “this looks just like that other arena I played” before I saw the Alamo and smacked my head thinking “Wait, of course I have been here before!”

So, I played and had a good time, but left shaking my head as I realized that I made a list, but definitely forgot to check it twice, lol!

I was extra careful to make certain I had not already played Main Event Fort Worth North before heading over.

Main Events can be tricky because the previous styling that is very prevalent in facilities that have been open for some time looks so similar that for a while I was able to take the same series of photos in every Main Event I visited. You can’t rely on memory when they all look alike. Over time the styles changes and I can identify newer locations by the updated theming and build. However, my visit to the Fort Worth North location did take me back, so for nostalgia I took my same series of photos once again.

By the briefing wall…

Upper level by this center structure…

And overlooking the back hall of the arena by this triple arch.

It was an enjoyable visit, that started with a sigh of relief that, as familiar as the arena may look, this was in fact my first time visiting Main Event Fort Worth North!
