Stars and Strike (Delta Strike, That Is) at FlagTagAZ

I have had FlagTagAZ on my radar for quite some time and this trip was the perfect opportunity to check out all they have to offer at their multi-faceted entertainment center. My thanks to owner Scott Sawyer for the hospitality and tour as I finally got to play some Delta Strike laser tag in Flagstaff, AZ.

Scott told me that he has owned this business for about seven and a half years, purchasing it from another entertainment center back in 2018. While they offer attractions including throwing axes (and more), darts, arcade and concessions as part of the over 12,000 square foot facility, at about 6000 square feet the laser tag arena is the BIG thing to experience here. I was eager to check it out. After all, I had traveled quite a ways (and quite a route) to get here! :)

The wall mural pays homage to the journey, but according to Scott I am not the only one to come a distance to tag here. He told me the majority of their business comes from tourism as they get a lot of school groups and tourists that come to the area to see the Grand Canyon and enjoy some time in Flagstaff.

I put on my Delta Strike Evolution pack and prepared to explore the arena.

This Urban Chaos arena is truly an impressive space!

It’s two stories with a tank in the middle of the lower level.

Look carefully and you will see the Delta Strike mini targets glowing along the perimeter of this massive prop.

The maze circles up and down both levels with plenty of windows and cutouts for taking your opponent by surprise.

From above to can get a clear view to the lower level.

You can also tag a hex base to gain special power-ups.

So there is a lot happening inside this awesome arena.

Scott decided to upgrade to Delta Strike about a week into owning the business and he has kept the Evolution gear ever since. However, laser tag is not the only attraction they feature. As their website states… “axes, lasers and stars, oh my!”

Another major facet to the business is throwing. Of course axe throwing has become an incredibly popular sport all over the country. They offer that as well as knife and star throwing, which I learned are both legal to do in this establishment, as they are in the state of Arizona. The location of this activity is very important to know.

Since I may never have this chance again, while in Arizona I let Scott give me some training in the art of how to throw a star. I actually did pretty decently at this and was able to hit the target!

This definitely had me feeling like Tivia from Nivia! (Photon fans, IYKYK)

Very cool! Although I’m still probably the only Lumberjack Princess who can’t actually throw an axe, lol!

Needless to say, I loved shopping for cool tag swag as well. I love to bring back t-shirts and souvenirs from my travels and this one was especially cool since I am already such a fan of the “laser kitten” theme.

I had such a great time visiting FlagTagAZ!

When I said my goodbye I hopped into my rental car and kept right on going down Route 66, contemplating all the amazing experiences I had during this trip to Arizona.
