There’s A First Time for Everything

There’s a first time for everything and, when I stopped by Andy B’s in Denton, TX my request to play some laser tag turned into the first time one young staff member ever played. I’m delighted my visit was the catalyst for her first laser tag experience!

Just a side note with a personal opinion. I believe playing every attraction at least once (but especially laser tag) should be part of the onboarding process for any FEC when they hire a new staff member. It makes them more knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their “product”. This is no criticism at all of the girl. You would be amazed how many times employees tell me it’s their first time playing laser tag.

Second side note… While I respect the honesty, I am also surprised how often the staff admit to me (the customer), especially unsolicited, when they have never played it before. No identities revealed here, but that’s just my own commentary. Actually, I was glad to be able to introduce her to the game.

She was actually pretty good at her first game, as we played CyberBlast in their apocalyptic city arena.

This space had some fun elements like a bus.

And where there’s a bus, there’s a bus depot! :)

There were bases located on both sides of the arena. At one point I called her over and showed her how to take the base. She wasn’t sure how they worked, but I smiled to myself because the directions were literally written in the wall!
