The Night the Lights Went Out in…Oklahoma

I was on route to a very special event in Dallas, but by a happy accident I ended up flying to Oklahoma City first. I made a beeline for the Okanarama Game Hall at Okana Resort where I prepared for a game of Lasertron with JB and brother Lucas and Max.

We entered a really nice, two story Tron arena, decked out with colorful sectors.

We entered a free for all game and started tagging each other.

This lasted for about a minute before everything suddenly stopped. What happened? The power went out when one of those infamous midwestern storms came up out of nowhere!
I have never had this happen in a game, but kudos to the staff who got us back up and running within just a matter of minutes. It was bizarre to be so far from home in the middle of severe weather, but I can always take comfort in playing a game of laser tag.

But, that’s my story of the night (day) the lights went out in Oklahoma!
