Total Immersion = Amazing Tag

My next stop was a visit to HeyDay Entertainment in Norman, OK and I have to say this was one of the most amazingly

immersive experiences I have ever had playing Lasertron!

Anyone who knows me will realize that is a big statement, but I was really impressed with my experience from top to bottom. I went in for a free for all game with Reign and Natalie.

At first glance you will might just notice the typical Tron tubes, placed with balance on the upper and lower levels of this two story arena.

But the upper level has tall structures rising through the center that definitely feel a bit more dramatic than most of the Tron arenas I play.

When the game began and I heard the pulsing music I thought to myself THIS is how it’s supposed to be. Whatever soundtrack they are using immediately flips a switch for me that took this experience from typical to almost theatrical. Then this happened!

Note: I have deliberately removed the audio for posting, but trust me, it rocked!

And while fog in and of itself is nothing new, the strategic use of sporadically blasting it upward like an erupting volcano was incredibly effective in enhancing the mood.

From the very beginning of the industry, the best laser tag arenas have worked toward making a fully immersive experience that takes you out of real life and makes you feel transported. At HeyDay Entertainment in Norman I saw all of this working together beautifully and I walked out thinking THIS is how it should feel every time. Great job to the team for providing not just a game, but achieving that completely immersive experience that takes it to the next level!
