Didn’t Expect That!

We rolled into RollHouse Columbus as our last stop of the night, expecting some things and instead finding a few surprises! Scuba, Dave and I walked over to the laser tag arena, ready for another Tivigeddon experience.

Based on both my previous visits to RollHouse locations and the photo on their homepage, I was expecting that we would be playing a game of Laserforce. So our first surprise was that this game would be Battle Company instead. Didn’t expect that!

I was also pleasantly surprised to find the couches in the briefing room, which allowed me to lounge as we had the game explained by the young marshal.

When we walked into the arena we discovered another surprise. WOW!

Talk about an incredible statement structure…and photo op! Didn’t expect that!

This single-level arena is really vibrant and colorful!

Since we were playing Battle Company, I didn’t even bother looking for the base, and yet when Dave called me over to the housing, there was another surprise.

You might think I’m talking about the bus shaped base housing itself, but I’m not.

When I got over to the base housing Dave told me to look up.

We found residual evidence that if we had played here in the past we might have been playing Zone instead, as the outpost bases were still in the arena. Didn’t expect that either! I love stuff like this because it’s like you are putting together a puzzle from the arena’s past. :)

Now, if one base housing looks this cool, there is bound to be another on the other side of the arena, so we tagged our way over to this cool prop.

City themes often have really cool aesthetics, but this one was especially interesting and a great way to end our evening…at least the tag part of our evening.

We still had quite a drive ahead of us, so we called it a night, got back in the car and DJ Dave explored my music playlist for the duration of the drive. Eclectic? Absolutely. And if he had searched long enough he just might have found Sandstorm by Darude, the classic that seems to get played in almost every laser tag arena. But instead, we rocked out to a different kind of music mix as we discovered that Dave and I are both huge fans of Aqua and we played just a few more Aqua songs than what Scuba was ready for…he REALLY didn’t expect THAT! :)
