Ultrazone Portland Inaugural Tournament
With Ultrazone Portland now owned by a member and player of the competitive Zone laser tag scene, it is no surprise that their inaugural tournament took place within the first six months of Noah Kim taking over the reigns of this legacy laser tag facility. I was looking forward to my next chance to visit this site again, so the first tournament was a perfect opportunity. Players from across five states came out for two nights of competition. There was representation of player

Tag 4 A Cause from Coast to Coast!
The second of my two Tag 4 A Cause events in support of the Alzheimer’s Association was hosted prior to night two of the inaugural tournament at Ultrazone Portland in Milwaukie, OR and was a cumulative success from coast to coast! On the heels of the success we had at the first event in Syracuse, NY I was excited to hold my first west coast fundraiser and appreciate Noah for hosting me and all the players who came out to support a great cause, helping us to once again EXCEED

Logger’s Paradise
My final stop before the evening events was to Langer’s Entertainment in Sherwood, OR, with a really creative Sasquatch’s Revenge laser tag arena fully decked out in a sawmill theme. It’s been 30 seconds since I’ve brought up that I am a former Lumberjack Princess (I usually mention it in the context of how bad I am at axe throwing!), so you can imagine that how much this theme really speaks to me. :) But even aside from that, I just thought they did a phenomenal job with the

Welcome to Pandora
My visit to KingPins in Beaverton, OR was full of interesting little custom touches designed to set up the mood, the theme and the experience built around their Pandora-themed arena. I arrived at a time where I could wait for the next group game or, by my request, I was instead able to get into the arena faster doing a 1v1 with staff member Sophia. She handed me a lanyard with my game time and some scoring info for the Helios Pro targets and I returned a short time later to p

She Tags Tron Down By the Seaside
Following night one of the tournament in Portland (more on that soon) I rested and woke up ready for a Seaside adventure…by which I mean a tag trip out to Seaside Laser Tag and Arcade in Seaside, OR. This arena was located in an unexpected environment, directly across from a carousel inside a breezy shopping complex in a very touristy town on the west coast. I went in ready to play some free for all Tron with Asher to start the day. The arena is. Typical Tron design with two

Stepping Up to Spaceland
I love it when a laser tag experience is completely different from what I expect and that was the case when I paid a visit to Spaceland Family Fun Center and Indoor Paintball in Tacoma, WA. I had called ahead and spoken to Ashton to learn that this location uses the Netronic laser tag equipment, which I was interested to play because I have only had limited experiences with it up to this point. However, I was pressed for time and didn’t know if I would be able to get there in

Taking Time for Tactical
My next stop was short, but sweet as I made my way over to LazerX Arena in Kirkland, WA. Knowing full well that this tactical arena uses iCOMBAT equipment, I got a kick out of the fact that they are located right next door to an unrelated business called Invictus Fitness. I am a fan of irony and it is a cool coincidence. However, LazerX uses the irM4 and not Invictus, so I had to prepare myself for a tactical experience instead. Game marshal Will arranged for me to play a gam

A Seattle Vibe
Arena Sports in Mill Creek, WA had been on my radar for a while. I recall getting a recommendation that I should try to play here on my next visit to the northwest, so I made a point to visit this site and found some really cool and unusual things going on inside. First, the place is huge with lots of activities and I could tell they cater to groups, as their were youth camps throughout the building, but not to the exclusion of taking care of walk-in clientele, which I really
