Laserball Tournament
The Fun Warehouse’s first ever Laserball Tournament was held this past weekend in Syracuse and it was full of excitement and enthusiasm…and a few unexpected twists and turns. I showed up on the heels of one of my weekend tag trips to call this my “rest and recovery” time hanging out with my friends. In spite of a random draw, somehow the Plausibles all ended up together again as the Ax Team, ready for Laserball! This tournament was successful in many ways. First, I give credi

What A Weekend!
I always try to make the most of my tag travels and this past weekend’s road trip was jam-packed with adventures in New Jersey, Long Island and the Catskills before ending with Syracuse’s first-ever Laserball tournament. There’s a LOT to unpack here! Rather than rush to do it all chronologically, I am going to work backwards and start with discussing the tournament and then gradually share the stories from my eight (yes EIGHT!) new arena visits and the adventures along the wa

The Armageddon Results Show

A Perfect Ending
As Armageddon came to a close, Tivigeddon had one more stop to make over to Perfect Game in Farmington Hills, MI. Originally I had planned for this stop to happen the night before, but timing didn’t work out so I pushed it back a day, which turned out to be the best thing possible. Why? Because once the tournament part was over it freed up George and his kids, Mahogany and Logan to join me. Additionally, we reached out to Gord Armstrong, CEO of Laser Storm, and his son Mike a

Jurassic Lasers
Sometimes I really feel like a big kid when I visit a new laser tag arena and see an amazing exterior, so I immediately get excited about seeing what else is inside. That’s how I felt when Scuba, Dave, Nobody, Logan, Tunns, Toby and I all made a Tivigeddon stop over to Tilt Studios new location in Sandusky, Ohio. The entrance to their “Quarantine Planet” laser tag attraction is gorgeous! The airbrushed, bright and colorful dinosaur (and other creature) theming hooked me befor

Didn’t Expect That!
We rolled into RollHouse Columbus as our last stop of the night, expecting some things and instead finding a few surprises! Scuba, Dave and I walked over to the laser tag arena, ready for another Tivigeddon experience. Based on both my previous visits to RollHouse locations and the photo on their homepage, I was expecting that we would be playing a game of Laserforce. So our first surprise was that this game would be Battle Company instead. Didn’t expect that! I was also plea

A Stunning Arena Under the Sea
When we stopped over to Ten Pin Alley in Hilliard, Ohio I was not expecting any of the things that make me refer to this arena as “stunning”. However, in this case that is the exact right word for sure! Why do I say stunning? First of all, this is a really good looking arena, which I guessed even just from seeing the exterior. The briefing room gave off aquarium vibes as we stopped to put on our Helios CE packs. I absolutely love the theming they incorporated. This decor was

Look Who We Found at Combat Ops!
Scuba, Dave and I set out for Columbus, Ohio with our sights set on tactical tagging at the newest Combat Ops location, which has been open for less than a year. I have previously played at their other locations in Fort Wayne and Indianapolis, IN, but this one had something extra…Luke Beckwith (aka Skywalker) from the competitive tag scene is the manager here! It was so nice to see our friend again as we took a tour of the new place. Luke walked us over to the arena where we

Tivigeddon: Side Quests Begin with a Blast!
“Tivigeddon” started three years ago when, (long story short) a system was dropped during Armageddon and I decided that, rather than lose the entire day, I would Google a few laser tag sites along the route back to the hotel and play just for fun with anyone who wanted to tag along (pun intended). That’s how these post-tourney side quests began and now I plan them into my route ahead of time. However, I’m always happy to add a bonus stop and it wasn’t until the morning of Day

Armageddon 2025 - Day 4
Armageddon, Day 4. This is the point where you just leave it all on the field, which is what we all did during the final leg of the tournament at Zap Zone in Brighton, MI. It all comes down to Blast…or does it? Well, let’s set aside the actual math for the moment. Zap Zone appears to have some fresh remodeling since the last time Armageddon played here. I’m certain that this logo carpet is a new addition. Once we settled in, Cope gave the Blast briefing from atop his perch on
