TWO Nights Next Week!
Next weekend we have TWO Tag 4 A Cause nights where you can earn the Laser Tag 5K medal at Ultrazone Fort Wayne (11/5-11/6, 7:00-11:00). Who else is going to join me in supporting the American Red Cross Disaster Relief (and have a chance to win a golden phaser high score trophy on Friday and Saturday night)? If you can’t make the event you can still earn the medal at any laser tag arena, anywhere while supporting this important cause. More details: https://www.tiviachickloves

A Tournament to Benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals
It takes very little to get me on board for traveling to a laser tag tournament, but it’s an even faster “YES” when I know it is to benefit a good cause. That’s why I decided it was well worth flying halfway across the country to play in the Allevity Entertainment laser tag tournament in Aberdeen, SD, to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. For those who don’t know about my pageant background, I spent many years as both a local titleholder and later as a local Execut

Down the Thunder Road
You can’t visit a place called Thunder Road in Fargo, ND without singing a little Springsteen along the way! When I arrived I met the owner, James, over by the go-karts and he walked me over to their Laser City Laser Tag arena inside the main building. He explained to me that since his family took over operations of this site in 2017 they had made upgrades to nearly all the attractions (with more still to come) and one of the changes was going from Lazer Runner to Zone Helios

TAG Adventures in Fargo
This past weekend I was ultimately heading to an event in South Dakota, but to get there I first had to fly into Fargo, ND and then make the three hour drive south. Well, fortunately that gave me just enough time to make a visit to Tactical Action Gaming in West Fargo, an indoor tactical laser tag site that had opened in the fall of 2019 and was new since my last visit to North Dakota, so I was excited to see what they had to offer. When I arrived I was greeted by Nate from t

My 15 Year Anniversary of Playing Laser Tag
Today is the 15 year anniversary of the very first time I ever played laser tag! At least that’s how it appears based on the date on these prize redemption receipts. :) These tickets and tokens go back to the days before I ever knew how much I would come to love the game! When I played my first system (Zone Infusion) back in 2006 I was a very casual player. It wouldn’t be until many years later that I would jump back into laser tag with an intensity that would lead me to star

Looks Can Be Deceiving
When you show up to play at a laser tag arena after work wearing a cute little polka dot dress nobody takes you seriously…until… :) After all, in my work clothes I probably appear a bit out of place and perhaps I might even look like the least prepared player out of this formidable group who played the other night at The Family Fun Factory in New Hartford, NY. Well, looks can be deceiving! I stopped in for a game while I was nearby and the timing worked out well because I got

Tagging to a Half Marathon and to Hero Status
Last night I completed a half marathon (13.1 miles) at my local laser tag arena! Some were done in between the games, but a good chunk of those miles were accomplished with a phaser in hand. :) Laser tag is one of the best things I’ve done for my health since marrying it up with walking challenges (for distance or steps). I’ve taken on a number of different challenges in the last few months, but the one that was driving me last night was something new. A coworker introduced m

Tagging Tactical at the Tail End of the Trip
My final arena visit at the tail end of this trip was the American Paintball Coliseum in Denver where I got to tag again with the iCOMBAT Barracuda, which attaches to the top of a Tippmann paintball marker. I played alongside Christian, Kamron and Jason who were ready to unleash their best this game. The last time I played with the Barracuda gear was at the tournament I won in Kentucky and I remember getting some questions from people afterwards about how this equipment works

A Blockbuster Arena in Celebrity Style
After playing in close to 400 laser tag arenas I didn’t think anything could still blow my mind, but the three level arena at Celebrity Lanes in Centennial, CO certainly did! This is the best executed theme I’ve seen in quite awhile and it works perfectly with the “celebrity” theming all throughout the facility. Quiet on the set! Before you enter the scene is already set with a story line explaining that “You have been cast in a starring role in the upcoming summer blockbuste

Interesting Things
My next stop was to Bowlero in Lone Tree, CO to experience their Urban Mission Laser Tag. I have seen this motif in some of their other locations, but I’m taking stock of what was right in front of me a few things did catch my attention, starting with their REALLY cute original briefing video. This production was humorous, utilizing a cheesy 50s tv announcer theme and had a couple of actual laugh out loud moments. If there was still an ILTA to give awards for this kind of thi
