You Glo Girl!
Glo Mini Golf in San Bernardino, CA was my next arena to visit. Timing was perfect for me to get into a game with this family group including a young boy who couldn’t have been more excited about this! We began by getting a tutorial inside a briefing room where we watched the instruction, but got the sense there was an eye on us too! ;) Those painted pallets to sit on were very cool, but just wait until you get into the arena. Do you remember that game called Mousetrap? That’

Causing Curiosity
I began the first full day of my recent California tag excursion with a visit to Main Event Montclair. As soon as I walked up to the glass-walled laser tag enclosure I saw something that caused some curiosity for me. Do you see it? I ambiguously shared this photo to see if anyone else noticed what I did and was curious as well. The branding on the wall is for GBN, but the packs in use are all Delta Strike Genesis. Now, this is the second time in as many weeks that I’ve had th

Tag 4 the National Domestic Violence Hotline
We were delighted to host a very successful Tag 4 A Cause night to benefit the National Domestic Violence Hotline at Lazertag Extreme in Simi Valley, CA. Thank you to everyone who joined us for the event! I feel very strongly about the importance of this cause and the good work that is done through The Hotline. We made informational materials available at the Tag 4 A Cause table and my thanks to Steve Barnhart and the entire team at Lazertag Extreme for their continued suppor

How I Got Here (to 699)
When I decided I wanted to play my 700th laser tag arena on Laser Tag Day I was speaking a goal out into the universe and I believed I could make it happen. However, when I said it (about six weeks ago) I was about 30 arenas away from that number with Laser Tag Day quickly approaching at the end of March. The goal was a bit daunting, but I made and executed a plan. If you’ve been counting down with me you know I have been steadily edging towards that milestone number with rec

The Adventure Begins with EXO
I’ve been preparing for a BIG laser tag adventure that got underway with a travel adventure first! The shortest version of the story involves me making some “creative” choices with my travel route between New York and California that resulted in me taking four, yes FOUR flights to get there (from SYR to DFW to ABQ to PHX to LAX). This was partially a solution when Inhad to regroup because I had planned to be in Hawaii at the start of this trip, but they are currently getting

Traveling (and Tagging) Through Tennessee
There are two things that I will remember about my most recent trip through Tennessee. The VERY unique travel circumstances and some terrific tag at Tenn Pin Alley in Columbia, TN. I arrived and chatted with the manager who encouraged me to take note of the original artwork on the walls when I went into the arena. Ok, I’m intrigued! I purchased my game pass and got in line for the next game. This began with me discovering Zone Helios CE in the vesting room and me getting suit

Rockin’ Arena
It’s awesome to have friends throughout the country that I am able to visit during my tags trips, so it was an extra bonus to meet up with Raven to play some Delta Strike Genesis while at Urban Air in Huntsville, AL. Our thanks to GM Alexis for providing an opportunity for us to play an early morning game and catch up a bit as we explored this rockin’ arena decked out in bright neon colors, the really cool “Trapper Keeper” theming that Urban Air has started implementing and v

Late Night Laser Tag
There was just enough time to make one more late night arena visit when I rolled in to Stars and Strikes in Huntsville, AL. Let me say, their staff is awesome and in spite of the late hour I got to play an awesome game of Lasertron free for all (so actually two games within the session) with Liz, K-Dot and Jessie. I look like Mandarr under the vesting room lights, lol! This is a fairly open, two story arena with grated barriers along the upper perimeter, giving way to a clear

Adventures in Alabama
Travel often requires flexibility and just being able to “go with the flow”. I boarded a plane to Huntsville, AL with a plan…then landed with an alternate contingency plan that led me to (for the second week in a row) Mar a beeline directly for a Main Event (Huntsville) in order to get in a game before the end of the evening. Sometimes I’m VERY appreciative of those late night hours they offer! Much of the theming I saw was the same (or very similar) to the subway theme I exp
