A Memorable Visit to Murrieta
Mulligan Family Fun Center in Murrieta, CA had a few cool surprises waiting for me to make it a memorable visit. I showed up to find a cute old-time town theme, complete with blacksmith, hotel and cafe, serving as the entrance to this indoor/outdoor entertainment center with a lot of appeal. When I asked to play Lasertag I was directed to head outside and turn right for the big red barn. Inside however, things took a space-age turn as I joined a group of girls who were ready

Two In One…But Not How You Might Expect
My visit to Pins N Pockets in Lake Elsinore, CA turned out to be the second time that same day where my curiosity was piqued by seeing two systems represented side by side. This is an example of why branding matters, but so does overall terminology and product understanding. When I went up to the counter I asked to purchase a game of laser tag. To the young staff member working the counter and marshaling the games that meant to him that I wanted to play Laserforce (which I di

A Laser Joust with a Dragon?
Camelot Golfland in Anaheim, CA has some pretty cool medieval theming going on inside this giant castle! I was ready for a laser joust with a dragon…or anything else I might find in this arena. However, for a moment I was worried I might not get to experience it. Usually when there is nobody else playing laser tag I can convince a manager to free up a staff member (who bear in mind would have to be an resent for the game anyway) for a quick 1v1, but in this case they would no

Tag at Bullwinkle’s
Bullwinkle’s in Upland, CA provided an opportunity to play some Lasertron with a team base game. I was on the green team and am glowing like Elphaba under the lights! This is a single level field design with plenty of sectors, though the base tags were the only relevant structures in play for this game. The map was pretty nicely balanced. All in all, Bullwinkle’s was a cool place to stop and enjoy some laser tag! Comments or Questions? Contact: Tivia@tiviachickloveslasertag.

You Glo Girl!
Glo Mini Golf in San Bernardino, CA was my next arena to visit. Timing was perfect for me to get into a game with this family group including a young boy who couldn’t have been more excited about this! We began by getting a tutorial inside a briefing room where we watched the instruction, but got the sense there was an eye on us too! ;) Those painted pallets to sit on were very cool, but just wait until you get into the arena. Do you remember that game called Mousetrap? That’

Causing Curiosity
I began the first full day of my recent California tag excursion with a visit to Main Event Montclair. As soon as I walked up to the glass-walled laser tag enclosure I saw something that caused some curiosity for me. Do you see it? I ambiguously shared this photo to see if anyone else noticed what I did and was curious as well. The branding on the wall is for GBN, but the packs in use are all Delta Strike Genesis. Now, this is the second time in as many weeks that I’ve had th

Tag 4 the National Domestic Violence Hotline
We were delighted to host a very successful Tag 4 A Cause night to benefit the National Domestic Violence Hotline at Lazertag Extreme in Simi Valley, CA. Thank you to everyone who joined us for the event! I feel very strongly about the importance of this cause and the good work that is done through The Hotline. We made informational materials available at the Tag 4 A Cause table and my thanks to Steve Barnhart and the entire team at Lazertag Extreme for their continued suppor

How I Got Here (to 699)
When I decided I wanted to play my 700th laser tag arena on Laser Tag Day I was speaking a goal out into the universe and I believed I could make it happen. However, when I said it (about six weeks ago) I was about 30 arenas away from that number with Laser Tag Day quickly approaching at the end of March. The goal was a bit daunting, but I made and executed a plan. If you’ve been counting down with me you know I have been steadily edging towards that milestone number with rec

The Adventure Begins with EXO
I’ve been preparing for a BIG laser tag adventure that got underway with a travel adventure first! The shortest version of the story involves me making some “creative” choices with my travel route between New York and California that resulted in me taking four, yes FOUR flights to get there (from SYR to DFW to ABQ to PHX to LAX). This was partially a solution when Inhad to regroup because I had planned to be in Hawaii at the start of this trip, but they are currently getting
