My Phaser Valentine
This is My Phaser Valentine. It’s a Laser Trooper (by LaserMaxx) phaser from a system that was only ever used by one commercial business arena location in the U.S. (or two if you count when they moved that arena to the lower level of the mall, no longer open) and I believe only five worldwide. This was my trophy prize for winning the Laser Trooper Valentine’s Day tournament held in 2020 at that arena in Topeka, KS. I remember my flight was cancelled, so I rented a car and dro

A Look at Laser Game Evolution
This week for Museum Collection Monday let’s take a look at two early versions of Laser Game Evolution. For comparison, first is made using a shiny vinyl-type material while the second has a fabric-style vest. This system was founded in France by Patrick Fournier in 1995. Knights of the Actual Round Table (and the Bachelor Party the Night Before)
I don’t need any special excuse to play laser tag at Ultrazone Bensalem, but this weekend I had a reason that prompted me to make a road trip. Ready for it? I headed to Pennsylvania…to stand in a line at 6:30 in the morning…outside in the cold in front of the Ashley Furniture store…to meet two of the New Kids on the Block (Jordan and Jonathan Knight). I kid you not! Any trip to Philly MUST end up at Ultrazone Bensalem, especially since they have now upgraded to the new Helios

Ready for an “Escape”
At the end of the day I just kept on driving, ready for a weekend road trip adventure that began with a visit to Cloak and Dagger Escape Rooms in Hamilton, NJ. As I was looking for arenas in the vicinity of my planned travels I noticed a green dot on the Gel Blaster Nexus app, so I called ahead and was really pleased to be able to coordinate with the manager, Angela, to arrange a game while I was passing through New Jersey. When I arrived, Toby greeted me and Wendy showed me

A Sneak Peek
This week Museum Collection Monday is a behind the scenes sneak peek at the creation of this year’s Laser Tag Day poster, which will be unveiled VERY soon. Our mysterious model is wearing a rather elusive pack. Think you can guess which system is in the spotlight? You won’t have to wait much longer to find out! ;) Check out LaserTagMuseum.com to see all the previous Laser Tag Day posters and lots of laser tag history. Comments or Questions? Holoz History
It’s Museum Collection Monday and this week I am not actually showcasing a complete laser tag pack. Rather, this is a front panel from Laser World’s Holoz pack shown alongside a Holoz laser tag phaser. These pieces are incomplete, originating approximately 30 years ago in California, and we are fortunate they were located. Here is a Holoz scorecard from the Modesto, CA location. The game token was a particularly lucky find too! Find more laser tag history at LaserTagMuseum.co

80’s Laser Tag Night
”I’m your Venus, I’m your fire!” If you are imagining that song being belted out by my tone-deaf self while I dance past the green base, phaser in hand and no doubt to the amusement of the teenage game marshal, then you have a pretty good idea of how much fun was had during 80s laser tag night at The Fun Warehouse in Syracuse, NY. I pulled out every 80s trend I love, from the off-the-shoulder t-shirt to the fire engine red lipstick, the fingerless gloves and glow in the dark

Laser Tag Trading Cards
When I was a kid I collected baseball cards. That hobby that was mostly motivated by my wanting to hang out with the boys in my neighborhood, but it was also likely the start of my lifelong love of collecting. So when I first learned about laser tag trading cards I was hooked on the idea immediately! Do you have any Taipans? Go fish! Ok, just kidding about that. But seriously, these are actually really cool, incredibly well-made collector trading cards that feature laser tag
