Yes, LaserTrek
I recently had the chance to play LaserTrek at what I believe may be the last arena in America still operating with this particular system… and it was completely unplanned! When I set out earlier that morning to drive to Ohio I had a laser tag itinerary already in mind, however by the time I stopped for a lunch break I realized that I needed to make some adjustments for travel time. So I started looking for other laser tag arenas closer to my final destination. That’s when I

The NextReality of Virtual Laser Tag
This may not be a traditional laser tag experience, but it is an incredible VR simulation! Circling back to my trip to Indiana, I had a chance to visit NextReality Studios VRCade and Innovation Center in Goshen, IN where I had a completely different “laser tag” experience while trying out three different VR platforms that each simulate laser tag in very realistic, but distinctively different ways. I have had very limited experience with virtual reality up to this point, but I

Rolling Through the RollHouse
My final stop on the way home from this trip was to RollHouse Entertainment in Solon, OH. Truth be told, I was hungry and really wanted to stop because I knew I could get a burger in their bar/restaurant. However, as the mama to a tiny dinosaur (aka my little gecko) I couldn’t resist an arena with this kind of aesthetic out front! Having started my trip with a tour of Creative Works, it seemed very fitting to end it with a game in one of their arenas. Here you can see the sam

Countdown to the Main Event
My countdown to the Main Event continues! I am still working my way through the remaining handful of Main Event locations where I have yet to play. Not too long ago I set a goal for myself to play laser tag at every Main Event arena in the country and I got to check one more off the list when I paid a visit to Main Event in Avon, OH on my way back home following my Indiana trip. If you’ve been following along you know that I traditionally take the same three photos in the ver

I Had a Cyber Blast at Mega Blast
I made two stops while traveling in Goshen, IN. One was a VR arcade that I’m going to cycle back around to in a future post because I need a bit more time to cover that one thoroughly. So please allow me to skip ahead to my visit to Mega Blast Laser Tag where it was indeed a Mega Blast to play some Cyber Blast in their 8500 square foot, single level arena. I went in with a good size group that appeared to all be together. There were definitely a couple of guys in the group wh

Laser Combat at Combat Ops
On my first day back in Fort Wayne, IN I had some time early in the day to pay a visit to Combat Ops Entertainment and play a bit of Battle Company laser tag in their 10,000 square foot arena. I had assumed simply from the name that this place might be more like a militaristic outdoor tactical field, but when I walked through the door I discovered a bright, colorful and engaging arcade that was a much better indicator of what I would find inside the arena. This felt more like

H2 Race Against the Clock
On a Thursday night I considered myself lucky to find laser tag arenas with games taking place, however the ones I wanted to visit were spread far apart, so to get to both of the remaining sites on my itinerary (and to be able to play some Helios 2 at each one) it was a race against the clock to make it before the end of the night. I had about an hour and a half drive ahead of me to get to Xtreme Laser Tag in Terre Haute, IN before they closed for the night and when I arrived

Old Meets New - The First CW Arena, Now with Delta Strike Genesis
When I was touring Creative Works earlier in the day, Russ Van Natta suggested that I pay a visit to the very first CW arena ever installed at the nearby Royal Pin Expo Bowl (formerly Laser Storm) in the southern Indianapolis area. This sounded like a good idea since I had previously visited the other Royal Pin location nearby. However, it quickly became a GREAT idea once I confirmed that this site had recently upgraded to the new Delta Strike Genesis system! I had been tryin

Tilting Around Indianapolis
The first game stop of my trip was to Tilt Studios Indianapolis, which is the best of the Tilt Studios that I have played so far. Located on an upper floor of a busy mall (yes, there still is such a thing!) was an eye catching entrance at the top of an escalator, maybe three floors up. The staff here were incredibly helpful and accommodating as they directed me over to the Red Planet Laser Tag entrance. I joined this group of guys who had been enjoying some games of classic b

A Tour of Creative Works
On my recent visit to Indiana I was welcomed in for a tour of Creative Works headquarters in Mooresville by Russ Van Natta, Vice President of Business Development. I would like to thank him for giving me a behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of this company that manufactures and designs so many of the laser tag arenas that we have enjoyed playing over the years. I arrived at the Creative Works offices to find that all the creation takes place in two buildings as I en
